Canterbury Branch:
Ocean Lake Triathlon will have the first dedicated triathlon club based in Canterbury, Kent.
The Canterbury branch will be based at Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys and the lead coach will be Matt Tithecott. We will have access to swimming three mornings a week in the schools pool, which will also have a qualified swim coach available for general advice and to help with training methods.
As the evenings get lighter mid week running sessions will be run on Wednesdays and will be led by a qualified BTF Level 2 coach and will aim the session at all levels from beginer to Elite. The weekends will be a good chance to either meet up with the whole club at Leybourne Lakes, to hone our open water and cycle skills with club coaches Ben Ward, Matt Tithecott and Giovanna Richards.
As well as these formalised sessions there will also be the oportunity for ad hoc sessions organised through the clubs forum.
In all it will be great for those living in the Canterbury area to have the oportuninty to train and race with like minded people from the area.
